This policy describes what information TagTally (tagtally.net, the "Site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the Site has no user accounts, asks for no personal information to use its calculators, and does not sell personal data.
Information the Site collects
- Calculator inputs. Numbers you type into calculators (vehicle price, state selection, and similar) are processed in your browser. They are not required to identify you and are not stored on our servers.
- Server and hosting logs. Like nearly all websites, the Site's hosting infrastructure may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. This data is used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic measurement.
- Email. If you write to contact@tagtally.net, we receive your email address and message content and use them only to respond and to act on corrections you report.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set cookies for tracking. Third parties described below may set cookies when advertising is served.

The Site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. You should know the following:

Analytics
If privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics are used, they measure page views and referral sources without building individual profiles. No analytics data is sold or shared for cross-site advertising by us.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Technical data may be processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers as needed to operate the Site, and information may be disclosed if required by law.
Children
The Site is a general-audience reference about vehicle taxes and fees and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information. Given how little the Site collects, the practical scope is narrow (largely email correspondence), but requests can be sent to contact@tagtally.net and will be honored where applicable law provides for them.
Changes to this policy
If data practices change — for example, when advertising or analytics are added or removed — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
