Informational purposes only

All content on the Site — calculators, tables, and articles — is provided for general informational purposes. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the official fee schedules of your state motor vehicle agency, your state department of revenue, or the figures on your purchase contract. Vehicle taxes and fees change through legislation and agency action, and county-level and dealer-level variation means your actual amounts can differ from any estimate shown here.

Accuracy and limitations

We work to keep figures current and to cite the primary source and verification date for each rate. Even so, all outputs are estimates, not a promise of the taxes or fees you will actually pay. You are responsible for confirming final amounts with the relevant state agency and your dealer before relying on them in a transaction.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site for personal and commercial reference. You may not scrape the Site at volumes that degrade service, misrepresent Site content as an official government source, or republish substantial portions of the Site's tables or text without attribution.

Embedding calculators

Tool pages provide an embed snippet that may be placed on other websites, provided the attribution link to the original page included in the snippet remains present and functional. We may change or discontinue embed support at any time.

Intellectual property

Site text, design, and code are the property of the Site operator unless otherwise noted. Underlying government data — statutes, tax rates, and fee schedules — is public information; our compilation, presentation, and annotations are what these terms protect.

Disclaimer of warranties and liability

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the Site, including decisions made in reliance on estimates that differ from final contracted amounts.
